2024-2025 Lesson schedule:

I teach piano lessons Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Fall semester is Tuesday, August 13 through Thursday, December 12, and includes 17 lessons.  Local recital is planned for December 7 or 14.  Spring Semester is Tuesday, January 7 through Thursday, May 15 and includes 18 lessons. Local spring recital is planned for May 10. (No lessons are scheduled Thanksgiving week November 25-29 or Riverside Schools spring break March 24-28.)

Summer lessons (late May, June, and July) will be arranged on an individual, flexible basis. Please check the studio calendar for important updates such as winter performances and the spring recital. 

Local students have in-person, (masked) lessons at the Kawai grand piano. Please be on time for your lesson, since that is the time reserved exclusively for you.  If a parent is nearby during the lesson, please step in during the last 5 minutes to clarify the assignments, etc.

COVID precautions: All students and their family need to wear masks inside the studio and at recitals. Our family has a member who is immunocompromised. Families are expected to notify me of any COVID or other illness issues. If you aren't sure, it is very easy to have a Fortelesson lesson that day--just call or text me. 

 

Tuition and Fees 2024-2025:

Fees for music books and special events are not covered by regular tuition and will be billed separately

If you are absent from your first lesson of the month (illness, etc.), tuition is still due that day and should be paid directly online.  

Tuition is due on-time--it's also easy to sign up for automatic credit card payment.

 Late payment is unacceptable and may result in termination from the studio.

Missed Lessons:

What if you can't attend your lesson due to illness or other emergency?  Please contact me ASAP before that lesson, and I can record a Forte lesson for you to watch when you get well, or you may choose to record your music by phone before your scheduled lesson, and I will listen and send you audio comments and help. 

If I am unable to teach due to my own illness or family emergency, I will reschedule your lesson or apply the lesson credit to your tuition. 

Discontinuation of lessons:

Lessons normally are scheduled from mid-August through mid- May.  What if you discontinue lessons part-way through the year? Please notify me at least 2 weeks before your last lesson--two weeks' paid notice is required.  All students will pay a two-weeks lesson deposit for their last two lessons, for whenever that would occur.  (After their four week trial period, students will pay a last-two-weeks deposit.)
